Fall decorations (mums, straw, pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, Indian corn and more) are available at the stand! We also have fall-themed MW Crafts Glass Boxes and Wood Signs.
Educational hayrides will be running every Sunday at 4pm beginning Oct 1. These 20-30minute rides are very popular. Farmer Steve tells a bit of history about the farm and stops in the fields to show riders different components of agriculture. We also are running fall carriage rides. Call today to schedule your carriage ride!
Throughout the summer, customers (and their children) picked their own green beans from our arches. We thought this would be a neat tool for them to see how beans grow and learn the proper way to pick beans. As fall continues, our beans, sunflowers and other produce are slowly coming to an end. We hope everyone enjoyed our sunflowers and took awesome pictures! Feel free to share any pictures from The Farmyard on our Facebook Page.
Here are a few pictures from Family Farm Day, an event put on by The Maryland Agriculture Resource Council on September 24th. Chester and his friends spent the day with thousands of people interested agriculture. Children were able to pet our calves and cows, feed them and ask questions about the industry.
